Auxiliary nurse midwife, commonly known as ANM, is a village-level female health worker in India who is known as the first contact person between the community and the health services. ANMs are regarded as the grass-roots workers in the health organisation pyramid.
Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery in Nursing is a two-year undergraduate certificate-level course in Medical Nursing. The duration of the course varies for different institutes, It often ranges from 1 to 3 academic years. Minimum Eligibility to ANM Course is 10+2 level of education with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks.
